MW2 and Warzone’s new Haunting weapon camo is pricy, but the devs are helping

You still have to save up quite a bit.

The second week of Call of Duty’s The Haunting event has begun and the final six rewards have now been unlocked, including the highly anticipated Ghoulie weapon camo.

But as for its price, let’s just say you better hope you’ve been grinding Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone and saving up Souls from the Halloween-themed “Soul Capture” event because it is not cheap.

The Ghoulie camo is priced at a whopping 1,000 Captured Souls. The next-highest reward is just 200 Souls, so it’s quite a big mark-up from everything else. But the reward may justify the cost.

Even so, Activision and its developers are likely aware that the price tag is high for many because it’s already increased the Souls that can be earned in an update that went live within 10 minutes of the new rewards being available today.

“We’ve just released an update that increases the drop rate and match cap of Souls for the remainder of the Soul Capture event,” Activision said on Twitter.

The number of Souls that can be earned in both MW2 and Warzone has been raised accordingly. You can now earn 18 Souls in MW2 (up from 12) and 30 Souls in Warzone games (raised from 18), so the road to the sexy camo has been made a bit easier.

This should help out a decent bit, but the grind will still be real for many who want the awesomely animated weapon camo. Once earned, it can be equipped on any MW2 weapon, and it should move forward with the guns into Modern Warfare 3, too.

Players who want to grab the camo while they can will need to hurry because The Haunting will only be live in MW2 and Warzone until Nov. 6, just four days before MW3 releases worldwide.
