The Cosmic Silverback is a Blackout character that was introduced to the game when Operation Grand Heist went live last month. Longtime fans of the Call of Duty franchise will recognize the Cosmic Silverback from the Dead Ops Arcade Zombies map in the first Black Ops game.

But how exactly do you unlock this character in Black Ops 4? There’s actually only one way to do it—you have to buy the Black Ops Pass.

The Black Ops Pass is Activision and Treyarch’s new system for delivering post-launch content in Black Ops 4. It’s supposed to introduce DLC more regularly throughout the game’s life cycle.

The Cosmic Silverback is exclusive to Black Ops Pass owners. So, if you want to gain access to this character, you’ll need to purchase the Black Ops Pass, which costs $49.99. You’ll obviously get all of the other content that’s already been released if you buy the Black Ops Pass now—but if you only want the Cosmic Silverback character, it might not be worth $50.
