Warzone’s new limited-time mode Purgatory on Hellspawn (a spooky variant of Rebirth Island) introduced eight challenges to tackle with season six—each earning you a unique reward.
Two of these Warzone challenges require you to get kills using the Terriballs, which is undoubtedly hard given the balls aren’t marked on the map and you don’t know what they look like from the get-go. With that in mind, here everything you’ll need to know to start securing vital eliminations using the Terriball on Warzone‘s Purgatory Island.
Where to find Terriballs in Warzone Purgatory Island
Terriballs are enormous, red spheres that spawn near the safe zone and roofs at the start of a match on Warzone’s Purgatory Island. Only a few Terriballs (three to four) are available in every game, with their mid-map spawns all random.
If you’re unable to find a Terriball, don’t worry; move around the map, and you’ll eventually see one as the ball is easy to move and other players might’ve been trying to get kills using them.
It’s pretty easy to mistake a Portal with a Terriball too considering they look similar in color, shape, and size. While gliding back onto the Warzone island, you can see several red and shiny spheres. These are Portals rooted to the ground which will redeploy you to a random location on the map when you pass through them. On the other hand, the Terriballs can be pushed around easily and have a much less shiny appearance, so don’t get them confused.
How to get kills with the Terriball in Purgatory Island
The best way to get kills with the Terriball in Warzone’s Purgatory Island is by using the ball in chokepoints within Harbor’s building and around the dock near Industries. Here’s what we recommend to rack up Terriball kills quickly:
- Find a Terriball as soon as possible after dropping on the island.
- Push the ball to an enclosed space like the Harbor building.
- Ensure you just down the enemies and then shoot or push the Terriball onto the downed Operators to finish them.
While pushing the ball, it can move quickly and go out of bounds—but it will promptly bounce over the water and return to a spot nearby. Ensure you don’t push the ball onto a wall, as it’ll quickly bounce back and knock you over. To make sure you’re not the one taking damage, stick to the ball while moving it or simply shoot it from a short distance.
The Purgatory Island event in Warzone offers two challenges that require the ball of death: 50 Mercenary Kills and three Operator kills using the Terriball. For the first tricky challenge, you also have the option to secure the 50 eliminations with a Warzone vehicle instead, so that’s undoubtedly the better way to complete the challenge.
On the other hand, getting the three Warzone Operator kills with the Terriball can be very time-consuming, though it’ll earn you an impressive Still Beating camo.
