The group stage of the latest major Call of Duty World League LAN event has come to an end with several teams going undefeated.
Pool play at CWL Anaheim 2019 wrapped up with OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, and Enigma6 finishing 3-0 on Friday. E6’s scintillating play was undoubtedly the biggest surprise of the first day, considering they had been seen as a middle-of-the-road team (or worse) in the CWL Pro League to this point.
In one of the most disappointing performances in team history, Team Envy failed to win a single map in their three best-of-five matches, losing in sweeps to 100 Thieves, Gen.G, and Luminosity, the latter of which was swept twice in pool play.
As expected, OpTic breezed through Pool A, despite a surprisingly tough challenge from Units in their first match of the event. 100 Thieves similarly had their way with their group combatants, posting a 9-1 map record in Pool D to earn a spot in the championship winners bracket.
Here are the final pool play standings at CWL Anaheim (each team’s series record is followed by their map count in parentheses).
