Riot Games has finally revealed how players can vote on which organization will receive a fraction of the sales from this year’s championship items.
Riot announced that it would donate a percentage of sales from Championship Ashe and the Championship Ward to charity in September, and some fans have been eagerly waiting to learn which charities will be involved.
The three charities that players can vote on include BasicNeeds, which strives to help improve the lives of people with mental illness and epilepsy. LearningEquality is a charity that brings high-quality education to communities without internet access in over 175 countries. And the Raspberry Pi Foundation creates programming clubs for young people and communities across the world through CoderDojo.
The highest voted charity will receive 50 percent of the total donation amount, with the other two charities receiving 25 percent each—so everyone will get a piece of the Riot pie.
Players can vote for the charity of their choice in the League of Legends “Vote for Charity” tab in the in-game client. And depending on how much honor you currently have in-game, your vote will be multiplied. The voting ends on Nov. 5.
