Finnish flex player Jani “Tseini” Kähkönen and American support Riley “Fahzix” Taylor have been dropped from the North American organization’s active Overwatch roster. Caleb “McGravy” McGarvey, Anthony “Fire” King, and Jason “Jaru” White remain.

“Since EnVision started in January, our roster has rapidly improved and we have worked our way into the spotlight of the esports community,” EnVision owner Artur Minacov wrote in a Twitlonger post. “With this success has come the realization that changes over time will be inevitable for continued growth.”

EnVision surprised the North American Overwatch scene with their impressive showing at Overwatch Contenders season one. The team initially failed to qualify for the first season after placing seventh in season zero. When Team Liquid disbanded and abandoned their slot, EnVision acquired a spot in the tournament. EnVision ultimately placed third in Overwatch Contenders season one, which earned their spot at APAC Premier 2017.

At APAC Premier in Shanghai, however, EnVision failed to move out of the group stage, losing to Flash Wolves, MVP Space, and Vici Gaming.

EnVision is now interested in replacing its players before Overwatch Contenders season two, which is currently unscheduled.

“EnVision views this roster move as an opportunity to seek players with strengths and personalities that will complement those of our active roster,” Minacov added. “We hope our fans will support EnVision through these impending changes, as we strive to become top contenders in the Overwatch competitive industry.”
