In the Marvel universe, Jeff the Baby Land Shark served as the pet of Gwenpool, who is one of the few superheroes who is aware they are inside a comic. Jeff’s looks may seem cute and vibrant at first glance, but he has a literally unstoppable ability in Marvel Snap that makes him a subtle yet potentially game-changing card.
Marvel Snap Jeff the Baby Land Shark abilities, explained
Jeff the Baby Land Shark is a two-cost, three-Power card with the ability that reads “You can move this once. Nothing can stop you from moving or playing this to any location.” Its effect may not be game-changing compared to the likes of Galactus and Thanos, but its potential value is huge, especially when pulling some unpredictable plays in the late game.
Players can get Jeff the Baby Land Shark as a series five card in the daily rotation from the Token Shop, meaning you need to spend 6,000 tokens to get him. Jeff is also part of the four-card pool of the Spotlight Caches rotation from Sept. 4 to 11, so he’s attainable just by increasing your collection level right now.
Strategy and best combos for Jeff the Baby Landshark decks in Marvel Snap
Jeff the Baby Land Shark has a general effect that makes him a great addition to almost any deck in the game. His two-cost, three-Power stat line is also a decent pick, especially if there are locations where playing cards could be challenging or normally impossible, such as in Sanctum Santorum and the flooded location by Storm. He can also penetrate a location with Professor X despite his lockdown ability.
In terms of synergy, Jeff the Baby Land Shark works well with Angela. You can play Jeff on the Angela location to give her plus two Power, and you can eventually move him to another location to create space for Angela, potentially giving her more chances of gaining Power in the process. Moving Jeff can also lower the cost of Miles Morales to just one, while keeping his five-Power stat.

Aggro Toolbox Move
Jeff the Baby Land Shark is one of the movement enablers in the rising Aggro Toolbox Move deck. Here, your main goal is to stack Power on Angela and Kraven while continuing to play and move cards across all locations. Also, some control cards are in this deck which can potentially disrupt some of your opponent’s setup.
Angela and Kraven are your main Power sources for this deck. The key strategy to make this offensive engine work is to play movable cards on the Angela location which you can move to the Kraven location. With this, both cards can stack Power, and potentially create two massive Power sources on two separate locations.
Aside from Jeff the Baby Land Shark, the other move enablers for this deck are Spider-Man and Vision. Silk, on the other hand, moves to a location whenever a card is played on the location where she is originally placed, whether it is from you or from your opponent. Captain Marvel is another potential move enabler, but moves to the location where you can possibly win the game.
Kitty Pryde is there to spam Angela’s Power-stacking ability while also giving her added Power every time she is bounced back to your hand. Cap off the deck with Shang-Chi for potential destruction of cards with nine or more Power for your opponent’s side, Legion for location manipulation, and America Chavez, who is a six-cost, nine-Power card that you will always draw on turn six.
Win condition cards for this deck
The win condition cards for this deck are:
- Angela
- Kraven
- Silk
- Kitty Pryde
- Captain Marvel
- Shang-Chi
- Legion
As mentioned, Angela and Kraven build up the Power for two of your locations. So, it is best to prioritize the play and move sequence for your movable cards since this will lead to the Power stack for both cards. Also, you can control the flow of Power stack for both cards, making it immune to cards such as Shang-Chi. Silk and Kitty Pryde are the spam enabler for both cards, so you should play them as much as possible in every match.
Captain Marvel is a literal game-winner for this deck, while Shang-Chi potentially disrupts your opponent’s setup. As for Legion, he is a great surprise factor since you can take advantage of a location effect which can be used against your opponent.
Stature Shark
Another deck where Jeff the Baby Land Shark is a staple card is in the Stature Shark package. This deck has been a mainstay in the meta for quite some time already because of its flexibility to adapt to almost any deck engine while also building enough Power to win locations.
The combo of Black Bolt and Stature is the main offensive late-game play for this deck. The former is ideally played on turn five to discard the lowest-cost card of your opponent’s deck from their hand. The latter, on the other hand, is a five-cost, six-Power card that becomes a one-cost if the opponent discarded a card during the last turn.
Darkhawk is your other main offensive source for this deck thanks to his ability to gain plus two Power for each card in your opponent’s deck. That is why the duo of Korg and Rockslide is a good support, since they can give rocks to your opponent’s deck which can build up the Power of Darkhawk even more. Jeff the Baby Land Shark staple cards such as Shang-Chi and Captain Marvel are also in this deck.
Iron Lad can be added for a bonus card effect, as well as a decent six-Power booster. As for Enchantress, she is a great addition to potentially disrupt your opponent’s cards with Ongoing abilities. Cap off the deck with Zabu which lowers the cost of your four-cost cards by one, and Spider-Ham which removes the text of the highest-cost card in their hand.
Win condition cards for this deck
The win condition cards for this deck are:
- Black Bolt
- Stature
- Darkhawk
- Iron Lad
- Shang-Chi
- Enchantress
The combo of Black Bolt and Stature is the go-to turn five and six play for the deck. They also have good Power stats that can build up Power for your locations. Darkhawk is your main massive Power source for the deck, so be wise on where to put him since he can be a standalone card in a winnable location.
Iron Lad is there for added card effect, while the combo of Shang-Chi and Enchantress is a great disruptor for your opponent which can be converted as offense for your side.
