464 Overwatch League expansion skins were just added to the game

Blizzard is preparing for the Overwatch League’s 2019 season.

A massive number of Overwatch League skins have just been uploaded to Overwatch. There are eight new sets for each of the 2019 season’s expansion teams. Each of Overwatch’s 29 heroes get two skins, one home and one away, for each of the new teams. That’s a total of 464 new skins uploaded to Overwatch.

With the Overwatch League’s existing team skins, that’s a total of 1,160 new skins in the game. Players can unlock two skins, home and away, with 100 Overwatch League tokens. Many of the Overwatch League’s teams opted for blue or red—or blue and red—color schemes, which makes some of the skins very similar. But during official play, one team is designated the home skin, their main colors, while the other uses a largely white away skin.

The Overwatch League is slated to begin on Feb. 14 at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles. The first match of the year is a re-do of the grand finals between London Spitfire and Philadelphia Fusion. With a changed meta and tons of roster shakeups, it’s not an easy game to predict.

Overwatch League’s 2019 schedule was released last year. Four matches will be held each night, Thursday through Sunday. Blizzard will test out the Overwatch League’s city-based structure with road trips scattered throughout the season. Three are planned: one each in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta.
