After a botched initial update with nothing from the patch notes added into the game, Fortnite developer Epic Games has seemingly resolved the issue and unleashed the Fly Explosives LTM and returning Guided Missile.

After the scheduled 3am CT update time and official patch notes, none of the update additions were actually in the game. That included the new explosives-only Limited Time Mode, the Slurp Juice fix, and the returning Guided Missile.

This mishap obviously was not taken too kindly by many players, with some harshly criticizing Epic’s decision to forgo downtime in this particular update. Nearly an hour after the scheduled update launch, Epic community manager Stacey Conley said in the official Fortnite Discord the developers were aware of the issue and were working on a fix.

That fix has now seemingly arrived, with players reporting the Fly Explosives LTM appeared in the game mode menu selection screen.

The update not only features the Fly Explosives LTM in both Duos and Squads, but it also is the platform for the Guided Missile’s return and the highly-anticipated patch for Slurp Juice, which had been disabled for much of the last week. The Guided Missile, while likely still a tough weapon to face, has been nerfed from its original state thanks to a considerable reduction in player and structure damage.

While it took some extra time for the content to actually pop up in the game and it certainly upset some eager players, it seems things are working how they were originally intended.
