Changes for CLG have seemed inevitable since its torrid end to the season, when the team came within one game of relegation against Curse Academy. Shin has apparently elected to jump the gun.

The player “no longer enjoyed being part of CLG” and “had no reason to stay” after the organization removed their coach Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles, sources close to the organization told the Daily Dot. Mykles was instrumental in bringing the player to the team and was positively vocal about his abilities.

The decision comes with CLG being heavily linked to the acquisition of former Team Dignitas top-laner Darshan “ZionSpartan” Upadhyaha. Currently a free agent, Upadhyaha was at the centre of controversy when it was reported CLG had attempted to poach the player while he was under contract, an allegation Team Dignitas manager Michael “ODEE” O’Dell strongly implied on Twitter.

Shin hopes to stay in America and continue to compete in the region, one source told us, adding that Shin felt LMQ could be a good home if he could come to an agreement with the team.
