The stars of today’s match were TheShy in the top lane with his Gragas pick and rookie jungler Peng “XUN” Li-Xun with his Olaf. Both players received the MVP votes for their stellar performances throughout this League of Legends series. XUN, in particular, has been settling in well with IG, providing a lot of ganks to fit in with TheShy’s aggressive playstyle.

The series between these two teams began with the usual aggressive IG playstyle. After a couple of early skirmishes, they built up a small gold lead by the 10-minute mark. Soon after, they started grouping up in the mid game with their Mythic items completed and dismantled OMG’s towers one by one. After 26 minutes of pure domination by the IG squad, they closed out the first game.

Following that devastating loss in the first game, OMG looked to bounce back by adjusting their composition. That, however, proved to be no barrier for the IG roster. They used their same aggressive playstyle to build an early lead and close out the series with two quick games.

Following this 2-0 win over OMG, IG (4-3) are now in sixth place in the 2021 LPL Spring Split standings. They’ll be back in action on Sunday, Feb. 7 with a matchup against RNG.
