It appears that Lincoln “fnx” Lau, who was part of the legendary SK Gaming squad that won both Valve Majors of 2016, will be part of the Brazilian Immortals roster heading into 2017. While rumors of the move have circulated since fnx’s benching from SK Gaming, the move is now looking all the more likely as the 26-year-old has registered himself as part of the Immortals roster on matchmaking service ESEA.

Fnx’s benching from SK was made official on Dec. 5. Citing motivational issues as the primary reason behind the decision, SK Gaming elected to compete with former FaZe Clan AWPer Ricardo “fox” Pacheco at the finals of the Esports Championship Series’ second season between Dec. 9-11, as well as the ongoing ELEAGUE Major.

SK Gaming has made it clear that fox’s time on the team is only temporary, and that it’s looking to find a permanent replacement after the conclusion of the ELEAGUE Major.

It has been speculated that Immortals entry fragger João “felps” Vasconcellos may in fact be joining SK Gaming, meaning fnx will act as a replacement for the 21-year-old star. Whether or not this ends up being the case, it’s safe to say that the upcoming CS:GO off-season will be incredibly interesting.
