It is worth mentioning that the EU Challenger Series still uses the old best-of-two system at this time, and it is unknown if the best-of-three system will be implemented in the future.

All teams will be playing from home instead of in the studio, Riot said, which means matches will not be spectated until the promotion tournament at the end of the year between the two best teams from the EU CS and the bottom two teams of the EU LCS. At that time, these four teams will compete for a chance to reach the top tier of European League of Legends competition.
