Wukong Update Possibly Coming Later this Year

The Monkey King could be changed a bit in the coming months.

Wukong could be seeing some changes in the latter half of 2017, according to Andrei “Meddler” van Roon, Riot’s lead champion designer.

When asked a question on the League of Legends message boards about possible changes to the Monkey King, Meddler responded by saying that, “I’d expect Wukong to be one of the prime candidates for an update when we do Divers.”

Meddler continued on that point, adding, “[Divers] are a likely choice for the end of year class update, though that’s far from guaranteed at this point (we’re still extremely focused on tanks and midseason).”

Wukong is an excellent diving champion that can be effective in team-fights, as well as a great jungler option. However, he has fallen down the pecking order of junglers after the recent assassin update, with champions like Kha’Zix and Rengar being prioritized in the role. An update would be great to see for this fan-favorite champion.
