Pool Play Predictions

Similar to the Electronic Sports World Cup 2015, Pool Play will push out the Top 2 teams from each group into a single elimination knockout bracket. The bottom two teams from each group will be sent home. For more information on when Pool Play and Bracket Play will start, check out our Event Preview.

Group A: OpTic Gaming (US), Strictly Business (US), Epsilon eSports (US/UK), Gamers2 (ES)

  • 1st: OpTic Gaming
  • 2nd: Epsilon eSports
  • 3rd: Strictly Business
  • 4th: Gamers2

OpTic Gaming along with substitute Ian “ Enable” Wyatt, will be looking to take their pool in a dominant fashion yet again. Epsilon eSports’ roster will be slightly different, adding some more competition with the addition of former Team Revenge members, Brice “ Faccento” Faccento and Remington “ Remy” Ihringer.

Group B: Denial eSports (US), TCM Gaming (UK), Team Infused (UK), HyperGames (FR)

  • 1st: Denial eSports
  • 2nd: TCM Gaming
  • 3rd: Team Infused
  • 4th: HyperGames

Denial eSports will be looking to take this pool with no contest. With the amount of talent on their roster, winning the Call of Duty® Championship 2015, and placing second at most events, it only seems reasonable to award them with this position yet again. TCM will be the European powerhouse within this group looking to turn a few heads.

Group C: Team EnVy (US), OpTic Nation (US), Vitality.Storm (UK), FAB eSports (EU)

  • 1st: Vitality.Storm
  • 2nd: Team EnVy
  • 3rd: OpTic Nation
  • 4th: FAB eSports

Vitality.Storm proved their worth at ESWC, with a fourth place finish. They’ll be looking to cause some disappointment for all the teams within this group. Team EnVy hasn’t had the best run in Advanced Warfare, but the squad has been practicing extremely well, having brought themselves back up to third place in the MLG Pro League Season 2. Unfortunately, Renato ” Saints” Forza will not be attending this event, and Joe ” MerK” Deluca will be filling in as EnVy’s temporary fourth. This group will be close, but the recent dedication from EnVy could land them within second.

Group D: Team KaLiBeR (US), Prophecy (US), PLT.Mindfreak (AU), Aware Gaming (UK)

  • 1st: Team KaLiBeR
  • 2nd: Prophecy
  • 3rd: PLT.Mindfreak
  • 4th: Aware Gaming

This is without a doubt the “ Group of Death,” having two well known US organizations. We cannot forget about PLT.Mindfreak and Aware Gaming, who surprisingly performed quite well at CoD Champs respectively. It was hard to predict who might come out on top of this group, but we narrowed it down to the experienced rosters of Team KaLiBeR and Prophecy.

Overall Top 4 Predictions

  • 1st Place: OpTic Gaming

    • $15,000
  • 2nd Place: Denial eSports

    • $5,000
  • 3rd Place: Team KaLiBeR

    • $2,500
  • 4th Place: Prophecy

    • $2,500
