Will VALORANT come to Console? PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch

Riot has yet to release anything for consoles.

VALORANT, the free-to-play first-person shoot developer by Riot Games, has gained legions of fans since its launch in June 2020 for PC.

The game has grown immensely among FPS fans so much so that those playing shooters such as CS:GO and Overwatch have dedicated themselves to learning the ropes in VALORANT, including professional players.

While PC players have been enjoying the game for over two years now, there are still console players with hopes that VALORANT will eventually be launched for platforms such as PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or even Nintendo Switch at some point in the future.

Will Riot release VALORANT on consoles?

It looks like VALORANT could be coming to consoles in the near future.

According to a job posting from Riot Games on Nov. 23, 2022, the company is looking for a senior game designer to work on VALORANT. A successful hire will “help bring console game produces to the market,” the posting reads.

A week prior to that job posting, the developer posted another job vacancy for a game design manager for VALORANT Console. One of the responsibilities of this job is working with “team leads to develop a vision for combat in VALORANT on Consoles.”

While there’s been no confirmation of which consoles the game will be coming to, it’s safe to say VALORANT will be available on PlayStation and Xbox in the future. It, however, remains to be seen when the console version of the game will release.
