One of north America’s best-ever CS:GO players, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, was reportedly hospitalized early Thursday for internal bleeding related to a complication from a recent surgery.

Skadoodle, the main AWPer for Cloud9, had an intestinal cyst in his gastrointestinal tract, According to his teammate Michael “shroud” Grzesiek: “A week ago, he went to do some sort of operation where they stuck a tube down his throat, and I don’t know what they did,” shroud said on his Twitch stream.

“A few days later, I think he might have passed out or something. Anyway, he got rushed to the ER, and he’s currently been in the ER for two days, and he’s bleeding internally. They don’t know what it is yet. That’s why [team] practice hasn’t been going as well.”

The exact chronology of events is still unclear, and shroud may not have had a complete medical understanding of the situation.

As a result of Skadoodle’s absence, Cloud9 coach Soham “valens” Chowdury stepped in for their ESL Pro League match against Misfits later that evening. Skadoodle’s health may lead to the team temporarily replacing him with valens or another stand-in for future offline events. Jake “Stewie2K” Yip will fill the role as main AWP on Cloud9.
