Registration for the first batch of tickets for the Overwatch World Cup group stage in Sydney, Australia, is now open.
The process isn’t as straightforward as just buying a ticket, however. Those interested in attending the event, held July 21 to July 23 at the Star Event Centre in Sydney, will have to register on a ballot to get access to up to three tickets.

Potential attendees will have to earn points by registering through different social media sites and inviting friends. Those with the most points when registration closes will be able to purchase tickets for $60 AUD, plus a booking fee, for all three days of competition. Emails will go out on June 15 to those who’ve earned tickets.
Registration closes June 15. Tickets go on sale to the public—in a normal, straightforward fashion—on June 20.
Sydney’s Overwatch World Cup tournament will feature Group C and Group D. Sweden, Australia, Italy, and Portugal will battle for glory in Group C, while Finland, Japan, Spain, and Vietnam will face off in Group D. The event is just one of four group stage events that will lead into the Overwatch World Cup held in Anaheim, California.
