How to unlock the Kastov LSW in MW3 and Warzone

Modern Warfare 3 is back for one last hurrah. Season six arrives in September as a goodbye to the game before live-service content switches over to Black Ops 6 for the fall and beyond.

The season six update for Call of Duty includes a lot of stuff, such as The Haunting event, a new map, five new Shipment variants, and more. But the most important addition, as usual, is two new weapons. One of them is an LMG, and it sounds like a blast to use online.

Here’s what we know about the season six LMG in MW3, the Kastov LSW.

What is the Kastov LSW in MW3 and Warzone?

The Kastov LSW is a new light machine gun in MW3 and Warzone, added in season six. The LMG is described as having “best-in-class fire rate and Tac Stance accuracy” and it was “crafted to tear enemies through at short to medium range.”

“Shirking the traditional role of an LMG, the Kastov LSW encourages closing the distance to your targets by pairing a high fire rate with incredible accuracy in Tactical Stance,” Activision said. “The weapon also sports a fast reload speed so you can get right back into the action after exhausting its hefty 100 round default magazine. Use Gunsmith to further enhance the LMG, from improving Tac Stance accuracy even more to building it out for longer ranged play with attachments extending its damage range and bullet velocity.”

With 18 levels and additional attachments to unlock, the Kastov LSW could find its way to the forefront of Warzone loadouts very easily.

How to get the Kastov LSW in MW3 and Warzone

The Kastov LSW is unlocked within the MW3 season six battle pass. It’s a free reward that can be found within Sector Nine of the battle pass.

To unlock the Kastov LSW, navigate to your right out of the starting point of Sector One. Move through Sectors Three, Five, and Nine, unlocking all the rewards within to grab the new LMG and add it to your expansive collection in MW3 and Warzone.

Additionally, if you purchase the BlackCell battle pass in season six, you can unlock Sector 14 almost instantly to earn a special blueprint variant of the new LMG and begin using the gun with attachments included, instead of using more tokens to level it up from the beginning with nothing attached at all.
