“Is there a place for forgiveness? Not for me”: Dr Lupo weighs in on Dr Disrespect drama

Dr Lupo is not having any of it.

Dr Lupo, a prominent Twitch streamer and a former working colleague of Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm, had strong words to say about sexting a minor through the Twitch whispers controversy, stating there is “no space for forgiveness” from his side.

“He messages a 17-year-old when he was in his late 30s, with a child and married, trying to solicit them for sex. And every single time he talks about it, it’s gonna be sugarcoated and dumbed down… He’s gonna make it look better for himself every single time,“ he said during a Sept. 7 livestream, adding, “if it was my fucking brother, I’d say the same shit,” he added.

Dr Lupo and Dr Disrespect have been working together and frequently had co-streams on Twitch in the past. Guy was let go of Midnight Society, the gaming studio co-founded by the streamer after a Twitch employee revealed that Dr Disrespect knew that he was sexting a minor, saw it as no problem, and continued with it. A day after the parting of ways, on June 25, he admitted in a now-deleted tweet on X (formerly Twitter) that he sent inappropriate messages to an ‘individual minor’ in 2017 on Twitch using the Whispers function

Dr Disrespect returned to stream on the platform for over 200,000 viewers on Sept. 7 after a two-month ‘vacation’ and defended his actions by reciting the legal definition of sexting. His future prospects and collaboration options remain unclear at the time of writing.
