All EA FC 24 season 9 pre-season rewards

You can win your first EA FC 25 Ultimate Team reward.

The new soccer season may be underway, but we’re still a full month away from the launch of EA FC 25. EA FC 24 season nine pre-season is here to fill the gap, blending the present and the future by containing rewards for this season’s and next season’s Ultimate Team.

As its name suggests, season nine is supposed to serve as a pre-season of sorts, preparing us for what comes next. As such, the season nine Pre-Season rewards are not limited to EA FC 24. Completing the whole season will grant you an 84+ x5 Players Pack for use in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team once the game launches. This is the easiest way to secure pre-launch content without committing to pre-orders or buying the Ultimate Edition.

The other grand prize of EA FC 24 season nine is a Greats of the Game Icon version of Ronaldinho, also acquired by completing the full season. Objectively, we’re already so deep into the summer that you won’t find much practical use for the card, but subjectively, having a 98 OVR Ronaldinho on your squad, even if for a week or two, is always a great feeling.

Ronaldinho is the only player reward in season nine, a stark contrast from We Are FC season eight, which contained a dozen players rated 94 OVR and above, including 99-rated Erling Haaland. EA FC 24 season nine Pre-Season instead emphasizes player packs and collectibles, which some could see as a letdown.

The good news is that this season is shorter, so you can grab the big prizes faster. Instead of the usual 40 levels, season nine Pre-Season has 30. With 1,000 XP required per level, you’ll need 30,000 total to play with GOTG Icon Ronaldinho in FC 24 Ultimate Team and get a decent head start in FC 25 Ultimate Team.

EA FC 24 season 9 pre-season rewards

The lack of player rewards, the shorter format, and the pre-season naming scheme do give off a heavy vibe that season nine will be the last in EA FC 24. If that ends up being the case, we’d say that Ronaldinho is a fitting final prize for that game.
