Fortnite: Battle Royale’s slipstreams are seeing major adjustments in the first patch of the season to add a huge fan-requested feature.
Thanks to Epic Games’ tinkering, players will now be able to build structures through a slipstream to jump into them or pass them by, instead of cutting off just short.
That’s not to say that the structures built in the slipstreams are invincible, though. If a player flying through a Slipstream comes in contact with player-made objects, they will instantly destroy them.
In another big twist, Epic Games has also announced that slipstreams will be disabled after storm phase five so that they no longer get in the way of the endgame.
The news should come as a breath of fresh air for those that are taking part in the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers. In the final third of the game, when building structures and surviving is the main priority, players will no longer need to worry about building around Slipstreams to survive in an already hectic environment.
