Now's the time to turn Sunday League players into prime time material.

Players rated in the 60s and 70s would’ve been described as low-tier fodder before Evolutions came along, but now you can create your own prime Messi out of thin air. Well, not exactly—you still have to put in the work, or the coins if that’s your thing. The Elite Ascension Evolution provides options all around, so we’ll make sure you make the most of it.

Player requirements for EA FC 24 Elite Ascension Evolution

  • Overall – Max. 74
  • Pace – Max. 64
  • Shooting – Max. 74
  • Dribbling – Max. 73
  • PlayStyles – Max. 6

The Elite Ascension Evolution is tailored toward low-level strikers. The requirements may appear too limiting at first, but once you see just how much better the Evo player ends up being, you’ll find them fairly reasonable.

All EA FC 24 Elite Ascension Evolution challenges

The Elite Ascension Evolution is unique in that it has two separate versions, a free one and a paid one. The paid version costs either 500,000 coins, or 1,500 points. You could complete both Evolutions separately to create your dream duo of strikers in no time.

Why would you do the Evo that costs half a million coins when you can get the other one for free, we hear you ask? Because these Evolutions aren’t one and the same. The player requirements are, but not the challenges you’re required to complete. While you have a full set of 11 challenges in the free Elite Ascension Evolution, you’re only tasked with four in the paid one. You can see the full set of challenges and decide for yourself how much time and/or coins you’re willing to invest.

The player upgrade path is also slightly different between the two Elite Ascension Evolutions. Both give the player a +30 OVR boost and both will make them incomparably better than they were beforehand, but how exactly that’s executed does vary.

Best players for Elite Ascension Evolution

  • Lisandro Lopez
  • Jaime Mata
  • Wesley
  • Siebe Schrijvers
  • Paul Onuachu

With how many players you can fit into the Elite Ascension Evolution and how vast the stat improvements are, you want to maximize these gains—or alternatively, go for a specific quality that serves your squad the most. Our recommendations try to cover as much ground as possible. They’re all 99 OVR when fully evolved and they all bring something unique to the table.

The pace requirements are so strict that there aren’t many short players who are eligible. Lisandro Lopez, who’s now 41 years old, is one of the exceptions. If you want a shorter striker, there’s no one else who comes close. Wesley is our pick for a taller alternative. He’s six-feet-three-inches tall, has 99 strength once evolved, and is Brazilian, which is a rarity for this Evo. Jaime Mata is the balanced option—not too short or tall, but with high physical attributes, not to mention a Spaniard playing in La Liga.

Finally, we have Paul Onuachu and Siebe Schrijvers, who are more on the alternative side. Onuachu is here because he’s Peter Crouch levels of tall and has the Power Header Playstyle, a deadly combo on a 99 OVR striker. Schrijvers, on the other hand, is not even a striker. He’s a central midfielder, and we’ll be damned if he’s not Ruud Gullit in disguise. Defending is average at best, so he’s not box-to-box material, but you’d have the best attacking mid in EA FC 24 if you go for this Elite Ascension Evolution.
