See the world in a new perspective.

If holding off Vampire Survivor hordes for 30 minutes wasn’t much of a challenge for you, then it may be time to flip the battlefield and try your luck in the chaotic Inverse mode.

Released back in Oct. 2022, Update 1.0 introduced Inverse mode as one of the first major features to be added to Vampire Survivors. While this is now one of four modes available for the true roguelike survivors, Inverse was the first mode to join in on the chaos, alongside Hyper. Hidden within a secret stage, Inverse mode would prove to be one of the toughest features for beginners to get in Vampire Survivors‘ base game.

Here is our full guide on how to unlock Inverse mode in Vampire Survivors.

The first step towards unlocking Inverse mode is to find all standard Relics. These are part of the base game, so you don’t need to own the Legacy of the Moonspell or any other Vampire Survivors DLC to get these. For Inverse mode, you’re be required to find all 11 Relics to unlock the secret level: Eudaimonia Machine.

As many more Relics have been added since Inverse mode’s release back in Fall, 2022, here is everything you need to find to unlock Eudaimonia’s stage, including what each Relic offers, and where to find them.

Vampire Survivors: Standard Relic locations

The Eudaimonia Machine stage unlocks upon finding these Relics. From first glace, the Eudaimonia Machine is a safe haven in Vampire Survivors, but in actuality, this stage acts as your first encounter with the lead antagonist: The Director. While you won’t fight this formidable foe yet, talking to the Director gives you two options. The choice between these two dialogue lines when asked, “hast thou struggled…or hast thou walked with ease?” decides which mode you’ll unlock.

Where to find Gracia’s Mirror in Vampire Survivors

Gracia’s Mirror is one of the few remaining Relics in Vampire Survivors. Being the sole component needed to unlock Inverse mode, Gracia’s Mirror is stored exclusively inside the Eudaimonia M. stage. Whilst talking to the Director (north of the stage), you must select the “Too Easy” option to obtain the Relic needed for Inverse mode. Pushed out of the stage, Inverse Mode is immediately unlocked upon securing Gracia’s Mirror.

You need to visit any other stage in Vampire Survivors to access Eudaimonia M. again. This is important not only for story progression, but also to see what would have happened if you selected “Too Hard” to the Director.

Returning to the Eudaimonia M. stage will give you the Seventh Trumpet (Relic). This unlocks Endless mode. Now you have both modes unlocked, a fight between your chosen character and the Director ensues. This is the final boss fight of Vampire Survivors and winning the fight will unlock the Greatest Jubilee (a glorious fireworks display).
