The best JAK Protean (RAAL MG) loadout in Warzone

One of the new Aftermarket Parts in season five of Modern Warfare 3 just may shake up the Warzone meta.

The JAK Protean Conversion Kit for the RAAL MG transforms the LMG “into a highly adaptable prototype weapon with a telescoping barrel that can be toggled between full-auto and semi-auto fire, offering suppressive fire and precision in the same weapon,” according to its in-game description. Now let’s build something with it.

Here’s what we think is the best loadout to use for the JAK Protean RAAL MG in Warzone.

The JAK Protean is definitely worth unlocking in Warzone and MW3 because it’s a bit of a powerhouse when it comes to long-range damage in battle royale. Urzikstan is a big place, and this is a big gun that deals bigger damage from a distance with our build and loadout.

• Conversion Kit: JAK Protean
• Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
• Optic: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x
• Ammunition: .338 Mag High Velocity
• Magazine: 50 Round Belt Mag

This loadout supplies massive buffs to the RAAL MG’s Fire Rate, Range, Accuracy, and Handling, while also helping out with Mobility thanks to the 50 Round Belt Mag. Without that Magazine attachment, the massive 100-round stock mag makes the gun difficult to maneuver with.

The key difference here, obviously, is the JAK Protean Conversion Kit. This allows you to toggle semi-auto fire with the RAAL MG, and that’s what you should be using at long range. It basically becomes a huge marksman rifle with a massive magazine with this Aftermarket Part equipped.

The JAK Protean has its own scope by default, but the Corio Eagleseye 2.5x is the optic to go with, as has always been the case since MW3 launched in Warzone. If you can deal with the base scope, though, try using something like a SL Razorhawk Laser Light attachment instead. I also think the .338 High Mag Velocity attachment is crucial for its big increase to Bullet Velocity.

This is my standard perk package for anything in Warzone, but make sure to use a small, mobile weapon like a top-tier SMG in your secondary slot to swap to when you need to move quickly. Running around with the RAAL MG out is not recommended, even with its increased mobility with our loadout.
