How to play Madden NFL 25 EA Play free trial

If you’re ready for some football (and who isn’t?), then we’ve got some good news for you: Madden NFL 25 is here, which is probably the only chance for my NY Jets to find success.

A new Madden game is no surprise, but if you’re on the fence about picking up the new game this year, there’s a way to play Madden 25 without fully purchasing it and then making a decision based on your experience of 10 hours of playtime.

Here’s how to play the free 10-hour trial of Madden NFL 25.

The 10-hour trial for Madden is available as part of an EA Play subscription, which costs $5.99 a month but is on sale for 99 cents for a new account’s first month, until Aug. 15. So, while the trial is not totally free, the $6 cost to try the game out and then decide if you want to purchase it later on is a better alternative than buying it at full price and being disappointed.

No matter what platform you play on, the 10 hours will only track while the game is open and being played, giving you ample time to decide if this year’s game is one you want to make the $70 investment in. And when your decision is made, you can cancel (or keep) the EA Play subscription just as easily.

According to EA, the EA Play 10-hour free trial of Madden 25 begins on Aug. 13. Purchasing an EA Play subscription is a simple task whether you play on PlayStation or Xbox, and we’ve detailed the process for you below.
