College Football 25 update today – July 30 patch notes

Some big-time bug fixes are here.

It’s already been two weeks since College Football 25 dropped for one of the most passionate fan bases in professional sports. And now, the developers at EA Sports are releasing the game’s first update on Tuesday, July 30, including a set of patch notes.

This time around, the developers are bringing some much-needed fixes to a couple of troublesome bugs that have been affecting multiple players during their games. As a smaller title update, fans shouldn’t expect any sweeping changes to any mechanics or features, but these fixes should be well received by the College Football faithful.

Here are all of the changes headed to College Football 25 in the July 30 patch.

Only four different changes are being applied to College Football 25 in this upcoming patch, but they should help improve the overall gameplay experience of the average player. The update includes tweaks to server quality, an in-game adjustment or a meddling penalty, and an important fix for online head-to-head matches.

Here are all of the changes in the new July 30 update:

  • Decreased frequency of Roughing the Kicker penalties from AI players.
  • Fixed an issue of snaps being thrown behind the quarterback.
  • Fixed Online H2H issue where the visiting team could not change offensive audibles.
  • Various stability and server improvements.

In Road to Glory and other AI-based matchups, there have been many instances where the AI ends up with a Roughing the Kicker penalty during field goals, which can be annoying if it occurs multiple times in a game. This patch should help smooth out and maintain the game flow without pausing for an unnecessary penalty.

Although it’s a bit less frequent, the game-changing glitch with the ball being snapped behind the quarterback can absolutely ruin games, especially because it could occur in both AI-based games and online matches alike.
