Pressure is now fully released, and there are new and old monsters to dodge during your playthroughs. The Entity gives you clues on how to survive the monster that killed you, but since you only unlock their files after dying to them, we’re giving you an early heads-up!
Three monsters don’t cause any damage in Pressure: Sebastian Solace, Styx, and The Man from the Mindscape. Several monsters received an image revamp after the full release, and due to the rarity of some monsters, we included their old version in this guide.
Sebastian Solace shows himself to you in the 50th door area and trades items for data you’ve collected so far. You can buy his document file, and it appears as The Impostor in your files. The Styx and The Man from the Mindscape aren’t proper monsters because they don’t cause damage—but they do appear.
The Styx has a low chance of jumpscaring you when you open a door, while The Man from the Mindscape jumpscares you at the back of a room when you open the door. Here are all the monsters that do cause damage in Pressure.
All monsters in Pressure
Puddles of Void-Mass
The Puddles of Void-Mass is the easiest monster to avoid. If you look through locker holes, and it’s in there, you’ll see two glowing circles inside, and all you need to do is not get in that locker. It won’t do anything if you pass in front of it, and if any of your friends happen to be caught by it, you can use a flashlight to save them before they are devoured by the Void-Mass. They can be in a locker of any room type and have even appeared in the submarine drop area.
Angler
The Angler is probably the monster you’ll encounter the most in Pressure, but it’s also one you can easily avoid. When the Angler approaches, the light flickers once, and a distant but loud noise approaches. You have to find a locker and hide until it goes away.
You’ll know it’s gone because you see a force passing through the locker and hear a scream. When you leave the locker, all the lights will be out.
Squiddles
Squiddles only appear in very dark rooms, including in front of the locker you’re in after the Angler passes. They only attack you if you point a flashlight at their faces, so turn off your flashlight or point it to the ground and don’t look at them if you see squid-like tentacles.
Pinkie
The Pinkie is another version of the Angler. Instead of the light flicker, it only gives you a sound notice with a screeching noise approaching you. When you hear it, hide inside a locker and wait for it to pass. Unlike the Angler, the lights remain turned on after it’s gone.
Froger
The Froger is very similar to the Angler, but it comes back one more time. You see the lights flicker once, and the loud noise approaches when the Froger is coming. You know it’s the Froger because the sound won’t completely go away after it passes and starts to get louder again.
The catch here is that you can’t stay hidden in the locker for long, so leave as soon as the Froger is gone and go back inside when the sound is close again.
Pandemonium
The Pandemonium is an interesting monster because it’s the only one with a mini-game. It’s another Angler version, but this one is much slower to appear after the light flicker, and once it reaches you while hiding in a locker, a mini-game where you have to keep the circle in the middle starts.
It’s a chaotic mini-game in which the Pandemonium creeps into the locker door. Keep throwing the circle out of the middle area, and the screen shakes while heavy music is playing.
Blitz
Blitz‘s cues are similar to the Angler’s, but the lights flicker twice instead of once. A loud noise approaches you, and you have to hide in a locker before it reaches you. The time between the lights flickering and Blitz coming is fast, so enter a locker as soon as the lights fish flickering. After it passes, the light turns off.
Chainsmoker
The final version of the Angler is the Chainsmoker. The lights flicker, and it approaches you but slower than the Angler. It brings a green smoke that causes claustrophobia, forcing you to leave the locker faster, so you need to wait until it’s close to enter the locker, or you’ll be forced to leave while it’s passing. You won’t be able to enter lockers while the green smoke is present.
Eyefestation
The Eyefestation can only appear in rooms with a window to the water or a water tube. It tries to force you to look at it, so keep looking the other way while walking past it. It won’t chase you since it’s swimming in the outside, but you have to resist the pull to look at it and move fast.
Good People
The Good People monster hides behind fake doors. You have to be careful before opening any door that looks suspicious. You know there is a Good People behind the door if there is more than one door in the room you are in with the same number. Check for some short circuit lights coming from the number panel and breathing sounds before opening the door.
It won’t kill you at first, but it deals a lot of damage. I was unlucky to open two doors with Good People in a row and only died in the second attack.
The Wall Dweller
The Wall Dweller requires you to listen closely so you can detect and stop it. It only appears behind you and slowly approaches to catch you off guard, so pay attention to the sound of a second pair of feet walking behind you and look at it. If you don’t notice the Wall Dweller, it grabs you from behind and kills you. Once you look at it, it flees and returns. Keep repeating the process until it goes away for good.
Trenchbleeder
The Trenchbleeder is only found underwater. It’s a giant robot that you can barely see, but you can see it moving in the distance. Once you get close to it, the sound begins to get muffled, and if you don’t head back or plan how to move, you’ll be smashed by its foot.
Parasites
Parasites are little bugs that fill your screen if you stay too long in underwater areas where there is no light. You have to go where there is light and shake your mouse to get them off of you; if you don’t, your screen is taken over by critters that take your health down to zero.
Mr. Lopee
Mr. Lopee only appears for those playing with other people. If you stay behind several doors, it appears, jumps on you, and takes you to where your friends are. It deals 35 damage, so try to stay with your group to avoid Mr. Lopee.
The Multi-Monster
The Multi-Monster is one of the rarest monsters in Pressure. You know it’s approaching because of a static noise that becomes louder as it gets closer. If you are unlucky enough to encounter it, hide in a locker and wait for it to pass.
