Apart from the new cosmetics, event pass, and NPCs introduced in the latest Fortnite update, the Ship in a Bottle is an interesting Mythic item that can serve various roles in your battle royale matches. But it isn’t available everywhere on the map and only comes from a particular type of chest, making it harder to get the item. If you want to get your hands on it to complete your challenges, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s Ship in a Bottle item.

How to get Ship in a Bottle item in Fortnite

To find the Ship in a Bottle Mythic item in Fortnite, you’ll have to go to the center of the map, which has a new point of interest called Shipwreck Shallows. This is the exact location where the initial teaser for the collaboration was spotted, in which a black mast of a ship was seen that was supposed to belong to Jack Sparrow.

Now, the iconic Black Ship is out in the waters and players can land on it to cherish their favorite Pirates of the Caribbean moments. Before that, you need to search for the Barnacle chests, which have coral reefs around them and a green aura that differentiates them from the usual chests. You can find these chests at only two places on the ship, and they have a guaranteed spawn of the Ship in a Bottle Mythic item.

The first place to find a Barnacle chest is on the north side of the ship. You need to land in the middle of the boat, choose one of the two doors in front of you, and take the stairs to the captain’s room, which has a luxurious bed and a table. In front of the table, you should find a Barnacle chest. But this is also a hugely contested spot, so you can go south of the ship and find the bottom deck with many prison cells. At the end of the vessel, you should spot a giant prison with hay and a Barnacle chest waiting for you to open.

Once you have the Ship in a Bottle in Fortnite, you can only use it once, and it doesn’t regenerate like other Mythic items. Simply put it in your inventory and use your fire button to ride a giant ship after breaking the bottle. You should be on top of the ship and ruin everything that comes your way for some time. After that, you can land on the ground and not take any fall damage.

You can use this item in various ways, like mowing down a particular part of a point of interest and collecting all the loot without much of a hassle. You can also use it offensively to ruin someone’s builds by ramming a ship into their structures and catching them off guard.
