Riot Games has unveiled that global home appliances brand Beko will join the LEC as an official supplier.
The newest partnership will see Beko and the LEC collaborate on exclusive content to promote healthy eating and showcase pro players from across the region.
Although this is Beko’s first step into esports, the brand has a long history in sponsoring traditional sports teams, including FC Barcelona and Fenerbahçe’s basketball team.
Beko joins the long list of sponsors that the LEC has added to its portfolio this year. In January, Shell took its first step into esports with a collaboration with the LEC. A segment called “The Baron Power Play with Shell V-Power” was introduced into weekly broadcasts as part of the partnership.
Red Bull also joined as the official energy drink supplier for the LEC Spring and Summer Split. The partnership will see both parties promote grassroots League of Legends competitive events across Europe. Most notably, at both LEC live events, Red Bull will encourage fan interaction by giving out wings with custom activations.
The LEC playoffs kick off today (March 29) when Fnatic go head-to-head with Vitality in a best-of-five matchup. On March 30, the playoffs continue with Splyce vs. SK Gaming to see who will head to the LEC Finals in Rotterdam.
