Helldivers 2 missing Daily Orders, explained

One more issue for Arrowhead Game Studios to fix.

If you’re missing that rush of excitement, the thrill to hop back in and helldive again, it’s likely because the Daily Orders are missing in Helldivers 2. Here is everything we know on the matter.

Daily Orders are a single objective in Helldivers 2 that refreshes every day. At least, that’s what they’re supposed to do. A challenge given to the Helldiver for a large sum of Medals has been misbehaving since Feb. 22. From late February, the Daily Order would not shift beyond the “get 60 kills with the Anti-Material Rifle” objective. Regardless of how many times you achieved this, you just couldn’t make that Daily Order budge. But there is an explanation for all of this.

Why aren’t Daily Orders appearing in Helldivers 2?

The original Daily Orders bug was once blamed on Helldivers 2‘s limited server capacity. This, having seen repeated increases from 250,000 to a now comfortable 700,000, should have fixed the persistent issues Helldivers faced when launching the game. While the Daily Orders were fixed for a few days (March 5 to 7), it seems it’s reared its ugly head again. This time, the blame has been passed to a sole perpetrator.

Launching the game on March 6 had not only refreshed the Daily Order as intended. But the moment this challenge was complete, a new order spawned immediately. This was to kill 500 Terminids. It was strange when it happened, but it was nice to get back-to-back Daily Orders after the temporary hiatus. The Daily Orders bug is back in full force as of March 7, where our dear lord, Arrowhead has since acknowledged this issue on the Helldivers 2 official discord server and confirmed that:

All helldivers will receive their medals they fought and bled for. Our super computer is doing its thing now. Your efforts will be rewarded!” (Announcement channel, March. 7 at 14:26 (GMT))

Can you fix missing Daily Orders in Helldivers 2?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a fix for the missing Daily Orders. Arrowhead, however, did confirm that all Medals will be rewarded to Helldivers who previously completed their daily objective. No amount of restarting the game or resetting your Wi-Fi will fix this bug.

All we can do for now is wait until High Command moves on from Bile Titans and onto a new Daily Order that lets us farm Warbond Medals again. Luckily, my fellow Helldivers are well-versed with this bug, so try not to let it affect your gameplay too much. Stick to liberating Tien Kwan while you wait or try out harder difficulties for high-risk, high-reward gameplay.
