The collaboration will introduce an array of new clothing.

OpTic Gaming has teamed up with Champion Athleticwear to bring co-branded apparel to esports enthusiasts in a year-long collaboration.

Starting March 1, the apparel will begin selling at two of Champion’s retail stores in Los Angeles and New York City. On March 2 at 12pm CT, fans will be able to purchase the gear through OpTic’s official online store.

Items in the collaboration will include T-shirts, hoodies, long sleeve shirts, and jerseys. Four of the clothing items can now be seen online through OpTic’s store. The collaboration between OpTic and Champion will introduce new designs and products throughout the course of the year.

“The awesome OpTic community, the Green Wall, is all about style and confidence, and just like their name says, Champion comes from a legacy of winners dating back a hundred years,” said head of brand strategy for OpTic Gaming, Joe Hills. “It’s a perfect fit.”

This collaboration with OpTic isn’t the first time Champion has created clothing for an esports brand, though. The company partnered with FaZe Clan in November to release a series of hoodies and sweatpants representing the esports organization.

But the new partnership with OpTic represents one of the apparel company’s “deepest investments into esports products,” according to the press release.

This reveal marks the second time an athletic apparel brand has announced their involvement in esports on Thursday, with Nike and Chinese esports business TJ Sports revealing its multi-year clothing sponsorship deal with the League of Legends Pro League earlier in the day.
