How to get the Mucus Slick Egg in Diablo 4

Duriel is an end-game boss that has been introduced along with Diablo 4 Season of Blood, but you need to obtain two necessary items to summon and fight this foe. The Mucus-Slick Egg is one of the two items that you need to find to make this summon.

From Grigoire to Zir, Diablo 4 season two has introduced plenty of new end-game bosses for players to loot and grind. Much like Duriel, these bosses require players to put in a little extra work. Not only do you need to find these bosses’ summon locations, but you also need to bring specific numbers of rare items. If you are looking to find Mucus-Slick Eggs in Diablo 4, this is what you need to do.

Where to find Mucus-Slick Eggs in Diablo 4

You can get Mucus-Slick Eggs in Diablo 4 by slaying the Echo of Varshan boss. Naturally, you need to find several other items to spawn the Echo of Varshan before you can get to the Mucus-Slick Egg. To summon Varshan, you need to gather the four Malignant Body Parts: the Gurgling Head, Blackened Femur, Trembling Hand, and Malignant Heart.

There are two ways to acquire these body parts. You can either complete Grim Favors for the Tree of Whisper on World Tier Four, or you can also hunt down Grotesque Debtors. These enemies can typically be found in Legion Events, near world bosses, or other global events that occur across Sanctuary. Personally, I prefer to wait until World Tier Four and farm the Malignant Body Parts from the Tree of Whisper quests.

Once you have all four necessary items to spawn an Echo of Varshan, you need to travel to the Writhing Mire by the Tree of Whispers in the northeastern area of Hawezar. Inside this dungeon, you can find an altar to summon and slay Varshan and acquire your Mucus-Slick Eggs.

How to use Mucus-Slick Eggs in Diablo 4

Mucus-Slick Eggs, along with Shards of Agony, can be used in Diablo 4 to summon to the level 100 end-game boss Duriel. To do this, you need two Shards of Agony and two Mucus-Slick Eggs. While you know that you need to get the eggs from Varshan, you similarly need to slay another boss named Grigoire to obtain Shards of Agony.

Now that you have both items, venture out into the Gaping Crevasse dungeon in southern Kehjinstan. Inside this dungeon, you then must find the Pestilent Altar. Interact with the Altar to summon Duriel and square off against the end-game boss.
