Ubisoft provides a first look at new Rainbow Six Siege Y4S2 operators

Y4S2 might be a game-changer.

The official Rainbow Six Siege Twitter gave fans a first look at new operators today. After several convincing leaks, it looks like a few may come to fruition.

The first look at each operator comes in the form of a GIF. While it’s difficult to see any concrete details within the GIF, there may be a few key aspects that validate past leaks.

The top operator—most likely named “Warden,” according to leaks—is sporting the suit that was mentioned in the leaks from March. The operator also appears to be wearing some sort of eyewear, which was rumored to be the operator’s unique ability. The image is a bit hazy, but Warden also looks to be sporting a bulletproof vest over his suit jacket, which was mentioned in the leaks.

Below warden, fans get a glimpse of the back of what’s presumably “Nökk,” or “Nøkk,” depending on which spelling is actually accurate. What sticks out about Nøkk’s placement in the GIF is that she’s below Warden—emerging from a body of water. While this detail seems superfluous, it could be indicating that the leak was correct in terms of the operator’s name. Nøkk seems to be a reference to a Danish folklore tale about a monster that emerges from lakes, at least according to YouTuber coreross.

There’s one more aspect of Nøkk that may have been given away in this teaser. It appears that there’s some sort of radio antenna sticking out from the apparatus on her back. It’s difficult to make out if this is a backpack, but it’s reminiscent of Vigil’s back-mounted signal jammer. Given that Nøkk’s rumored ability is going invisible to defender cameras, this detail would further add to the validity of the leaks.

The tease comes just days before the Milan Finals, and will no doubt make fans impatient for the full Y4S2 reveal, which will take place on May 19 at 1:30pm CT.
