“I am super excited to be playing with some of the biggest stars in Overwatch,” Ajax told Dot Esports. “I have a lot to live up to as an in game leader. I’ll be doing my best to constantly improve and I want to help give fans of NRG wins again.” NRG saw an underwhelming start to its Overwatch season. Though it fielded some of the game’s top talent, the team has failed to show success in major events. Most recently, NRG placed fifth in December’s Major League Gaming Overwatch tournament in Las Vegas. Since then, the team has been trying out new players, first dropping Carl “enigma” Yangsheng, Yomar “milo” Toledo, and Matthew “CLOCKWORK” Dias in favor of iddqd. Rumors of Ajax and harbleu’s involvement on the team shortly followed.

“We have been doing really well results wise [in scrims,]” Ajax said, “but I don’t think results in scrims matter. I’m more excited about how fast we are learning and improving together.” NRG has not confirmed their next tournament appearance just yet.
