At the press conference, MaRin expressed his gratitude towards the fans that stuck by him, and that he will do his best to play at the same top level he was at in 2015.

MaRin previously won the season five world championship playing for SK Telecom T1 back in 2015, when he was considered the best top laner in the world. After achieving global dominance, MaRin transferred over to Chinese LPL team LGD Gaming.
