The Hall of Heroics is a series based on community votes that look at a particular player/team in the esports scene. Analysing them and their triumphs and gives a lot of love to who they are and what it is they do to enter into “The Hall of Heroics.” In this installment, we look at Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim and induct him into the Hall.

On the Oct. 9th YellOwStaR announced his retirement, thanking those who have supported him over the years since League of Legends Season 1 where he was part of Against All Authority. YellOwStaR has become a European League icon and a legend to many in the European League Championship Series (EU LCS) for his playmaking and leadership qualities that have aided Fnatic to five EU LCS titles and has been a pivotal figure in the Fnatic squad that has been a part of League since the game’s beginning.

To say that Bora has done significant good for the game would be an understatement and with his job now being to set up Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) League of Legends team, after his declining to take part in the 2016 All-Stars for the EU LCS, it truly seems to be the end of seeing Bora play the game we know and love.

It is no surprise to me that the community has asked this series to continue with Bora the player to revive it and joins the likes of Likkrit, H2K-Gaming’s Worlds 2016 LoL Team and Hungrybox in the hall.

I can only envision great things from Bora moving forward. With his mind and expertise, PSG has gotten one of the greatest players, supports and shot callers in the modern game to push their team forward and it is my hopes we see a great line-up for Bora to coach in the coming months as we grow closer and closer to the start of the 2017 season.

It is a shame to not be able to see Bora play one more time in Barcelona for the EU LCS, but I look forward to seeing what he has to offer in the months to come.
