NFL training camps are ramping up, and so, too, is the hype for Madden NFL 25 ahead of its release in just a few weeks.
EA released a deep dive video about Franchise mode today, and it also included some more info on a recently confirmed addition to Madden that has been a massive hit with College Football 25 players: Team Builder.
Team Builder is a feature that allows player creativity to run wild. Using an EA website, Madden gamers can build every feature of their team, including its name, location, logo, field, and everything you’d expect from a create-a-team feature in a sports game. The team can then be imported into Franchise mode.
For several years, Madden only had a team relocation feature for Franchise mode. Now, the silliness can take full hold, or players can get serious to build their own massive success story within the league.
Team creations can be shared online for other players to upvote or download, so even those who don’t want to go through the process of creating their own organizational design from scratch can find something online that they’d like to use.
Franchise mode improvements this year include an “authentic environment” for the NFL Draft, including new scenes, a draft prospect board, female create-a-coach models, personality management like dealing with player egos, dynamic storylines including trade rumors and offseason workouts, improved free agency logic, new presentation options and announcers, and more.
EA will be looking to capture some more football success after CFB 25 was a huge commercial hit earlier this month, so the potential for that excitement to carry over for Madden seems to be high.
Madden NFL 25 is out on Aug. 16, or Aug. 13 in early access, on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
