“We want to bring together the two worlds of the future,” Wolfsburg manager Klaus Allofs said in a statement.

Vfl Wolfsburg brings quite the pedigree to esports. The 69-year-old club won Germany’s premier soccer division, the Bundesliga, in the 2008-09 season. And it’s targeted two proven winners. Salzer, four-time reigning German FIFA champion. Fink is a top European player as well and is currently undefeated on ESL’s German ladder.

This also isn’t the first time Vfl Wolfsburg has supported esports. In 2013, the club hosted the VBL, a FIFA competition, within Volkswagen Arena. That was also the location of Turkey’s League of Legends Champion’s League playoffs last month.
