Best loadouts in Enotria: The Last Song

Broaden your horizon with the trinity of Masks.

Unlike other soulslikes, the grind in Enotria: The Last Song isn’t for a particular loadout. While you can focus on a specific build and playstyle, your setup should be adaptable at all times.

If you’re not sure where to start on this challenging adventure, here are our recommendations for the best loadouts to use in Enotria: The Last Song.

Enotria loadouts: Heavy, medium, and light builds

Each region has unique enemy types that throw a new element at you. If you don’t have a high enough resistance to these elements, you will spend most of your time burning through resources and dealing with status effects. You need to use another element to counter them and weaken your opponent.

Some balanced weapons, like the Juniper Sword and most Longswords, can be used throughout Enotria, while others are limited due to their element. Upgrading your weapons, Mask Lines, and Masks is necessary to get through bosses, but they won’t be relevant for every boss. If you run out of materials when making your swap to another weapon, you can refund resources on any upgraded weapon via the Corda Risonante anvils near boss arenas.

Here are our top picks for heavy, medium, light, and early builds in Enotria. It’s possible to try all three builds out in the same playthrough without having to respec. As each Virtue matters as much as another, you can play around with your Masks and weapons to increase or decrease Virtues without spending more Memoria.

Miracle Pesto (clears status effects)

Heavy builds should focus on heavy attacks and perfecting the parrying system. Each aspect of this loadout is there to boost your Physical Attack and Defense. You should prioritize leveling up your Bruiser Virtue while keeping Mask Lines, Stamina, and Elemental damage in check so you never fall short in these categories. Bruiser will not only increase your health pool, but your status effect resistance will build up so high Elemental output isn’t a necessity for this loadout.

Our weapon recommendations aren’t restricted to a particular element. Rather, these are all balanced weapons that can be strengthened through upgrades or leveling up with either Assassin or Elementalist Virtues.

Thyrus’ Drool

This is my preferred loadout in Enotria. I like having range in a fight to change playstyle depending on the boss I’m facing. This loadout provides breathing room where others don’t, letting you adapt to the enemy moveset and always staying one step ahead. Running heavy attacks is a go-to for this loadout, letting you attack and retreat from the fight, giving you time to learn the boss without multiple attempts. This is a balanced setup, with mid-to-long-range weapons strengthened by upgrading the Assassin and Elementalist Virtues for increased DPS.

Enotria: Best light loadout

The offensive capabilities of the light build are incredibly high, with its speed and mobility placed above all else. Most Longswords and Polearms can feel slow in a fight, and the Colossal weapons feel near-impossible to use, so swapping these out with a smaller weapon is great for Soulslike veterans who love to dodge. Sabers are the fastest weapon in the game, and you can frequently swap weapons mid-fight to deal Elemental damage that perfectly counters the enemy in front of you. This loadout aids aggressive playstyles and keeps your Stamina high so you can stay on the frontlines at all times.

Our final loadout is for the early game. Depending on your Virtue focus, you should use a weapon that’s balanced, like the Juniper Sword, or an Elemental weapon that counters the upcoming boss. A mix of close- and mid-range Mask Lines will help you get used to Enotria’s gameplay. Patience is an absolute virtue with this one, as the camera can easily disorientate you mid-fight. So play patiently and slowly until you develop your loadout that works for you.

We recommend these particular weapons for the first two regions, then swap weapons per region, depending on your chosen highest Virtue.
