The Guts shotgun is one of many Easter eggs in Cyberpunk 2077 that you can find from the Edgerunners series. This Iconic weapon belongs to Rebecca, the loudest and most unpredictable member of the gang.
It’s a shotgun that you can find and use in Cyberpunk 2077, but you’ll need to get to it first. Read on to find out how to get your hands on it.
Guts location in Cyberpunk 2077
Finding Guts is very straightforward, as it is located almost in plain sight in Arasaka Tower and there are no prerequisites to get it. First, you need to fast travel (or drive) to the Arasaka Tower dataterm in the very center of the Corpo Plaza.
You will appear below the Memorial Park, walk a little further from the fast travel point, and go up the stairs to enter the park. All you have to do now is walk left (clockwise) until you find three monks praying on the right side in a passageway leading to the glass bridges.
In the grass behind the monks, you will find Guts lying under one of the bushes and a small pool of blood. The marker should pop up on your screen as you get close to it. For some, the place might look absolutely random, but if you watched Edgerunners… well, you know.
How good is Guts in Cyberpunk 2077?
Just as its description says, Guts will wreak bloody havoc and packs a big punch. When I first shot it, I thought it would fly out of V’s hands. With a base damage of 372.30 and 20 pellets in the shot, it becomes deadly in close-quarter combat.
The benefits come at a cost of reload speed and fire rate, which are slower compared to regular shotguns. The fire rate can be improved thanks to Guts’ Iconic perk:
- Let the lead fly! Shoot faster, deal more damage… accuracy be damned. Just don’t shoot your eye out.
The perk makes your every other shot quicker and have lower recoil as long as you keep firing. After firing the first shot you have around a second to fire the second one and take advantage of the effect.
The reload speed is still a slight issue, especially since Guts only holds six shells at a time. You could build into Obliteration and use Rush of Blood if you want to go all out on shotgun mayhem. My build, which was aimed primarily at using heavy-hitting pistols like Death and Taxes, revolvers, and precision rifles, felt unprepared to make the most use of this shotgun.
Don’t worry though, even without a dedicated build or cyberware, you can have lots of fun with Guts running around Night City and blasting everyone to pieces.
