With four teams now out of the tournament after a double-elimination group stage, TSM will join reigning Major champions Luminosity Gaming, Fnatic, and G2 Esports in the semifinals of the $3.5 million competition.

TSM came second in Group B, after upsetting Astralis 16-12 in the group opener yesterday. With a loss to Fnatic, TSM met Cloud9 in a best-of-three decider and took a decisive 2-0 victory to claim a place in the top four.

Fnatic topped the group after a narrow pair of wins against TSM and Cloud9.

In Group A it was Luminosity who topped the group, defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Liquid in a pair of 16-12 wins. The ECS finals are one of the last tournaments for the team under the Luminosity banner before moving over to SK Gaming next month ahead of the next major, ESL Cologne.

G2 Esports continued their strong run of form to claim the second semifinal spot out of the group with two best-of-three victories against Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Liquid—despite a 16-6 loss to Team Liquid in their opening group game, forcing them to fight from underneath.

TSM will have a stern test to reach the final, as they open the final day against Luminosity in the semifinals. Fnatic and G2 will meet in the second match before the winning sides battle for the $250,000 first prize.
