The eSports League and Valve Corporation have teamed up together to officially reveal ESL One Cologne 2015, “the world’s largest CS:GO tournament ever.” The event will be taking place at the ESL Studio and Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany on August 20-23, 2015.
Sixteen of the world’s best Counter Strike: Global Offensive eSports teams will be battling it out for the ESL One trophy (currently held by Fnatic) and prize pool of $250,000 on Aug. 22-23. The tournament will be hosted at Europe’s second multifunctional arena, Lanxess Arena, a stadium that can seat up to 15,000 fans.
Eight Legend teams have been directly invited to CS:GO’s biggest tournament yet, due to their top-eight placement at ESL One Katowice 2015, which consists of:
- Fnatic
- Keyd Stars
- mousesports
- Natus Vincere
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- Team EnVy
- Team SoloMid
- Team Virtus.Pro
The eight remaining Challengers will be decided by LAN qualifiers. These qualifiers, provided by ESL, will take place in three regions: North America, Europe, and Asia.

Tickets are currently available for the Lanxess Arena, a standard weekend ticket and a premium full two day experience ticket.
The standard weekend ticket will allow access to the Lanxess Arena on Aug. 22-23, and free seating within the gigantic stadium. The premium ticket also allows free seating, access to the event, free drinks and food, a goodie bag, and exclusive signing sessions with the pro teams. They’re available for €41 ($46.11 US) and €217 ($243.03 US) respectively.
