ESL New York Details Announced

The details of ESL New York have been announced.

ESL New York, an eight-team tournament taking place on Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 (Barclays Center),  has had its details announced. Prize pools and first round match-up, as well as how the playoff brackets will go came out.

Teams who get three wins will move on to a best-of-three single-elimination bracket. Teams who amount three losses will be eliminated from the tournament. The first round matchups are as follows:

  • Virtus.pro vs. fnatic
  • G2 Esports vs. Astralis
  • SK Gaming vs. NA qual. Winner*
  • Natus Vincere vs.  Liquid

 

The NA Qualifier currently has Team SoloMid, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming in contention for the final spot.

The prize pool for the tourney is as follows:

1st – $125,000

2nd – $50,000

3rd-4th $25,000

3rd-4th – $25,000

5th – $10,000

6th – $7,000

7th – $5,000

8th – $3,000
