ESL New York, an eight-team tournament taking place on Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 (Barclays Center), Â has had its details announced. Prize pools and first round match-up, as well as how the playoff brackets will go came out.
Teams who get three wins will move on to a best-of-three single-elimination bracket. Teams who amount three losses will be eliminated from the tournament. The first round matchups are as follows:
- Virtus.pro vs. fnatic
- G2 Esports vs. Astralis
- SK Gaming vs. NA qual. Winner*
- Natus Vincere vs. Â Liquid

The NA Qualifier currently has Team SoloMid, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming and OpTic Gaming in contention for the final spot.
The prize pool for the tourney is as follows:
1st – $125,000
2nd – $50,000
3rd-4th $25,000
3rd-4th – $25,000
5th – $10,000
6th – $7,000
7th – $5,000
8th – $3,000
