CS:GO chicken saves Heroic player from flashbang

Yikes.

After years of professional CS:GO matches, a chicken finally showed that it can be useful. But the chicken clearly wasn’t on FaZe Clan’s side.

A FaZe player threw a flash to check A apartments on Inferno, but the flashbang exploded behind a chicken, which prevented Johannes “b0RUP” Borup from being blinded. The Heroic player got an easy kill on Håvard “rain” Nygaard, who possibly didn’t understand what happened.

This is the second time that a chicken has caused a player to get killed on Inferno. In 2018, Robin “ropz” Kool from mousesports was trying to save his weapon in the apartments, but a chicken blocked the door and ropz got killed by Marcelo “coldzera” David.

The unusual bug in the Heroic vs. FaZe match might have caused FaZe to lose that round, but they still won the map. Rain and crew won the game 16-11 at ECS season eight, week five and advanced to the semifinals, where they lost to Virtus Pro.

It’s possible that this interaction may have happened before and players simply didn’t notice it. It’s something that Valve should check, though, since players probably don’t want chickens to intervene with their plays.

Valve should try to solve this bug without removing chickens, however, because it’s still fun to interact with them during matches.
