Apex Legends players on PC might have difficulties going past the game’s loading screen today.

EA and Respawn have confirmed a few Apex servers are down around the world, and that a considerable number of players are having issues getting past the loading screen. EA confirmed on Twitter it’s been investigating the issue for the past couple of hours, while players on the Apex subreddit are sharing more information about the errors they’re running into.

Several players have confirmed on Reddit they’re running into an error that says “Disconnect: PersistanceReadComplete for data storage ‘Respawn’ failed.” Players in Oceania and Europe are running into the same problem. Others claimed they’re stuck in an infinite loading screen that blocks them from even joining the game’s lobby or reaching an error message.

EA has only mentioned issues on the PC. It’s unclear whether it’s exclusive to PC players or if it was only confirmed for them. Since Apex lacks cross-play, it’s a possibility that PC servers are separate from console servers, therefore it would make sense to have a few platforms affected while others are working normally.

On Feb. 15, players also experienced issues with server stability and matchmaking. Just like today, there was no information about when the services would be normalized. Developer Respawn Entertainment had pushed live a job posting the day before looking for engineers specialized in site reliability and dev ops.

EA said it will update players on their Twitter account once the issue is solved.
