Don't rely on a teammate.

Apex Legends is a battle royale game with a focus on team work. As a unit of three players, it is up to you to create the perfect team composition and come together to secure victory.

If a player goes down, it’s up to you to get to your ally and revive them before an enemy has a chance to kill them off. Of course, this isn’t always an option, and thankfully Respawn Entertainment has thought of alternative ways to revive people.

What other options did they include, you ask? Well, it is the ability to revive yourself without needing a teammate to help you.

In Apex Legends there is only one way to resurrect yourself in the heat of battle and that is by finding the Legendary Knockdown Shield item that could appear anywhere on the map—or not at all.

Apex Legends self-revive

This item can be distinguished by its yellow colour and has the “[RESURRECTION]” ability prominent in its item description.

You may have a better time finding it later in the game when better tiers of loot become available. You could still get lucky and find it in the Hot Zone or a care package earlier on in a game.

Just be careful though, this item doesn’t give you unlimited self-rez opportunities. You can only use it once, so try to save it either for a desperate situation or for the final fight.
