Apex Legends might be getting a C4 Satchel Charge, according to dataminers

Could we be seeing the addition of another throwable soon?
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

There are many weapons in Apex Legends that were inspired by Respawn Entertainment’s other big title, Titanfall. It does make sense, though, since both games are set in the same universe.

It looks like Apex is getting another weapon from Titanfall because dataminers have found some basic image files of the C4 Satchel Charge. In Titanfall 2, the Satchel Charge was a throwable explosive that could stick to surfaces and was remotely detonated by the player.

It isn’t clear whether the use of the Satchel Charge will be the exact same as it is in Titanfall 2, but it does have a similar design. This leak follows the previous leak revealing that Apex might be getting the L-STAR energy machine gun, which is a weapon in Titanfall 2 as well. This gun has also been seen on the promotional art of Apex right when it was released at the beginning of February.

Although this news is exciting since the game only has three kinds of throwable explosives, these leaks need to be taken with a grain of salt. As Respawn Entertainment has told the public, “there’s stuff in there that is very old, or things we’ve tried in the past and cut,” Jay “JayFresh” Frechette said in the game’s subreddit.

There’s a good chance that the Satchel Charge may not even be getting added to the game. If it were to come out, it could be getting introduced to Apex with its Battle Pass, which should be released this month. Fans will just have to remain patient to see if C4 will join the world of Apex soon.
