The inaugural NBA 2K draft and season is slated to begin in spring 2018.

“We see the NBA 2K league as a great way to provide entertainment value and partnering with HyperX is a valuable part of our plan to build a competitive NBA 2K League team,” Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said in a statement. “HyperX brings an abundance of experience in the gaming community and will be a valuable partner both on and off the court during esports tournaments and events.”

HyperX will make its first appearance at a Dallas Mavericks game on Dec. 2 during the Star Wars Day game between Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers. Fans at the arena will be able to play NBA 2K18 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 while trying out HyperX gear.
