Earlier today, Team Liquid announced that its search for a new Counter-Strike head coach ended with adreN. Team Liquid said that adreN “returns to a position he was born to take.” One reason why Liquid chose to bring adreN back as a head coach is due to his previous experience with the roster. He’s played with Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella, Keith “NAF” Marković, and Jonathan “ELiGE” Jablonowski in the past, who are all a part of the current Team Liquid CS:GO roster.

Although adreN hasn’t openly expressed interest in coaching, he said it’s something that has always interested him. “I think this opportunity came at the perfect time for me,” adreN said in the statement released on Team Liquid’s website. “Lately, I’ve been wanting to take on a new challenge and while I never publicly announced that I was interested in coaching, it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot.”

AdreN began his CS:GO career in 2011 with Team Dynamic before joining Team Liquid in 2015. With Liquid, he competed in multiple events and led the team to a first-place finish in the iBUYPOWER Invitational major in 2015. The team also came in first with adreN at the ESL ESEA Pro League Season Two. AdreN remained with Team Liquid as a player until 2016.
